Fabric Banner Printing

We complete all of our fabric banner printing in-house using state-of-the-art dye-sublimation printing equipment.

Printing fabric displays in-house has allowed us to cut out the middle made and effectively pass on huge savings to our customers. It has also enabled us to implement a stricter quality control process to heighten the finish of the overall product for the end user.

Fabric banner printing is a technically advanced process that requires specific training and high-end facilities – both of which are something we have invested a huge amount of time and effort into perfecting.

Fabric Banner Stand

Artwork

The first stage of fabric banner printing is the same as with any other exhibition stand production process: it all begins with the artwork.

Using the artwork templates underneath the artwork tab on each product page, you can create a custom design for your fabric banner and upload it online.

Our graphic design team will then get a notification that you have sent your artwork through and will undertake a free artwork check to ensure everything is suitable for print.

If you don’t have your artwork ready, we offer a fully comprehensive graphic design service where one of our designers will work with you to create a bespoke display.

Stage 1 of printing

Fabric Display Stands Printing Process Phase One

Once a design has been approved, the fabric banner is moved through to phase one of the printing stage.

The artwork is printed in reverse onto 85gsm transfer paper using water-based sublimation ink. The artwork at this stage will appear on the transfer paper dull and muted.

We profile our printers to Fogra 39 global standard to ensure a high level of detail and colour richness on the final product.

Stage 2 of printing

Dye-Sublimation Fabric Printing

Once the artwork has been printed onto transfer paper, it is then lined up with the display polyester fabric on the Monti Antonio sublimation calendar.

As the paper and fabric are fed through the dye-sublimation calendar, a combination of 200ᵒ heat and the pressure of the rollers force the water-based ink to bond with the fibres of the display polyester creating ultra-bold and vivid artwork. This process fuses the ink directly into the weave of the fabric rather than sitting on top – allowing for increased durability and longevity of the fabric banner.

Print check

Once the display has been sublimated, it is removed from the Monti Antonio and laid out on a workbench where every inch is carefully checked.

Cutting

After the print has been thoroughly checked over, each fabric display is cut by hand to the required size.

Finishing

Fabric Exhibition Stand Finishing

When the display has been cut to size, it gets passed over to our in-house sewing department.

Using a cotton and polyester mix thread, the edges of the fabric are overlocked and hemmed. Overlocking ensures the seams of the fabric banners are durable and won’t split, whilst the hemming creates a clean and refined edge.

If a zip is required, one will be sewn on using a single-lock stitch and monofilament thread. The monofilament thread we use is a transparent thread which adapts to the colour of the artwork, making it invisible.

Test-build

As with display stands, fabric exhibition stands are all test-built prior to being dispatched.

We do this to ensure the fit of the fabric is perfect and there is no sagging or creasing when the graphic is applied to the frame.

During the test build phase, the graphic is once again checked over for any potential concerns with the print quality. Once our production manager is satisfied with the quality of the stand, it is expertly packed away and sent out for delivery.

Why Choose a Fabric Banner?

Premium Display

Fabric exhibition stands provide a premium alternative to traditional PVC displays. They offer that next step in event marketing and are perfect for businesses looking to take their brand to the next level.

Fabric banner printing provides a true to form finish with artwork being ultra-bold resulting in a sharper and more vibrant display to promote your brand.

Seamless

One of the most noticeable differences between a fabric exhibition stand and a PVC display is that there are no joins in a fabric visible artwork area. This is because fabric banners are made using a one-piece fabric graphic and the seams in the panels are always along the sides of the frame and never in the middle of the graphic design.

Lightweight & Portable

All fabric backwalls come with lightweight aluminium frames which are supplied in small, tubular sections. The hardware and graphics pack away into a specially designed padded carry bag, making storage and transportation simple and hassle-free.

Machine Washable

Printed fabric graphics can be machine washed at 30 degrees, so they are easy to maintain and keep in pristine condition. The durable stretch fabric is hardwearing and, once applied to the frame, the elasticity stretches out any creases that may be in the fabric, resulting in a crease-free display.

This durability comes is a result of the intense dye-sublimation printing process in which ink becomes a part of the fabric instead of sitting on top.

Fire Retardant Fabric

All of our fabric display stands are certified to a DIN 4102 Class B1 standard. This means they are safe to use in almost all public areas as they do not contribute to the spread of a fire.

Range of Sizes and Styles

We have the UK’s biggest range of fabric exhibition stands and offer the most options when it comes to size and style. Our bestselling fabric banner is the Formulate Straight Fabric Exhibition Stand at a width of 3000mm. This is because it’s a versatile display tool that can easily fit into most standard exhibition floor spaces.

Easy to Assemble

Formulate fabric exhibition stands are extremely easy to assemble. The lightweight aluminium frame slots together with a simple push-fit motion, eliminating the need for tools,  multiple people or expensive stand contractors. The framework sections are number-coded so it is clear which bit connects to which section. Simply match the corresponding numbers and push each section together. Once the frame is assembled, the one-piece fabric sock effortlessly slides over the frame and zips up at the bottom, securing it to the frame.

High-Quality Print

Our dye-sublimation fabric banner printing process guarantees vivid colours with a photo quality finish. The high definition artwork provides maximum brand potential and is guaranteed to get your brand noticed.
