Feather flags are suitable for many types of events and exhibitions including festivals, sporting events, conferences, trade fairs and motorsport events. They are also a popular choice for the front of businesses, car showrooms and forecourt use. Affordable, portable and highly effective, we include a FREE carry bag with a choice of up to seven flag bases. Feather flags are our most sought-after and popular flag shape. 

First, you must choose the kind of base that works best for the location where you intend to set up your flag. Choose between a large or small water base, a cross base with a weighted ring, a drive-on-car foot or a ground spike, a square base or a gazebo adapator.

Unpack your flag kit from the carry bag and join the poles together. Thread the completed pole through the elasticated pocket on the flag banner and secure the bottom eyelet to the pole using the toggle provided. Finally, slot the flag pole into your chosen base and you're ready to go.

Any of our promotional flags can be used with car wheels when you choose the Forecourt Flag Car Foot Base. Simply drive your vehicle onto the foot, ensuring it is on firm, level ground and attach your flag. The weight of a vehicle acts as an anchoring device, meaning the flag can withstand wind speeds of 18mph/29km/h or Beaufort scale 4.

The kind of flag base you should choose will depend on where you want to place your flag and the kind of surface this location has. 

Flag bases include a ground spike for soft ground, small or large water bases for hard surfaces, a drive-on car foot for forecourts or pavements, a large cross base with a weighted ring for extra stability, a square base for indoor use, and a gazebo adaptor for mounting your flag banner to a printed gazebo. The large water base is our most versatile base option as it can be used on both hard and soft ground, with all sizes of flags. It holds 30 litres of water, which provides the necessary stability for all printed flags.

Yes, our promotional flags are available with double-sided flag printing. Double-sided event flags showcase artwork on both sides. Our double-sided flags consist of two pieces of printed flag knit material, which are expertly sewn together with a liner in the middle to prevent any show-through from the other side. The artwork on a single-sided flag will be shown in reverse on the other side of the fabric graphic. 

When left permanently in an outdoor position that’s exposed to the elements, a Printed Feather Flag will last roughly 6-12 months. This time can be extended by keeping your flag in a sheltered position or inside. You should regularly check the condition of the flag to ensure there are no rips or tears in the fabric. We offer feather flags in four heights: 2.6m (small), 3.2m (medium), 4m (large) and 4.9m (extra-large). Our sail flags feature a classic rectangular shape and are available in three sizes—2m, 2.9m and 4m. Teardrop flags come in four options: 2.1m, 2.8m, 3.5m and 4.6m, providing a slightly larger printable area ideal for branding or promotional messaging.

If you are opting for the extra-large flag size, please check with your event venue for any height restrictions or overhead obstructions that may affect the safe installation of your display.

With a single-sided flag, your design is printed on one side, so you will see the ‘reverse’ of the printed design through the other side of the flag. With a double-sided flag, a liner is sewn between two pieces of material which are each printed with your design, so your branding is always showing perfectly from both sides. 

Yes, our printed flags are weatherproof. The graphics are printed onto 110gsm flag knit fabric using a dye-sublimation process, which fuses the dye directly into the fabric’s weave. This creates vibrant, long-lasting graphics that won’t peel, crack or fade over time. The lightweight, quick-drying fabric is designed to maintain its shape and colour even in wet conditions, while the flexible fibreglass poles and reinforced construction ensure the flag performs reliably in winds up to 18 mph (Beaufort Scale 4 – moderate breeze). When properly anchored, our flags can withstand a variety of weather conditions, including rain, moderate wind, and overcast days, making them ideal for outdoor promotional use. We advise dismantling the flag kit in adverse weather or storms to prevent damage.

The best flag base for use on concrete is our Large Water Base. It is our heaviest and most durable base option, and it’s suitable for all sizes of our promotional flags - that includes teardrop flags, feather flags, crest flags and sail flags. It holds 30 litres of water, and when filled, it allows the flag to withstand wind speeds of 18mph/29km/h or Beaufort scale 4.

It depends on what kind of branding you are looking to display.

With a single-sided flag, one design is printed on a flag graphic with approximately 80-90% show-through, so the reverse of the image is visible through the fabric on the other side. Single-sided flags are lighter, allowing them to catch the breeze and flutter more freely. 

Double-sided flags, on the other hand, feature two printed panels separated by a sewn-in liner, ensuring your branding appears perfectly from every angle. You can showcase the same or different designs on either side of the branded flag. These flags are heavier, which helps them hang smoothly and display your design clearly, though they come at a higher cost.
