FRONTIER® Office Partitions

FRONTIER® office screens are linkable dividers that can be used in almost any setting where a partition is needed. They are available as freestanding partitions or desk dividers, and in a range of colours, surfaces and sizes. They can be linked together to create temporary ‘walls’ or mini cubicles to separate off different workspaces on small or large scales. 

Each partition has a full aluminium frame that is minimalistic and sleek with a tool rail along the top of the screen that allows you to connect office accessories. 

The FRONTIER® range of office screens includes:

The FRONTIER® fabric office partitions, in both desk mounted and freestanding, are designed to divide up open-plan office spaces into smaller, more private areas for solo or small group working. They can be used to create the feel of ‘cubicles’ in a workplace without the expense and disruption of constructing private offices.

The FRONTIER® acoustic screens include an internal layer of acoustic foam making them a practical choice for offices that wish to divide workspaces, as well as reduce noise pollution. The sound-absorbing foam serves as a sound insulator, preventing echoes from reverberating around the room, providing a more quiet, peaceful and productive environment.

The FRONTIER® office screen range includes a number of partitions that are suitable for use as social distancing. These products came into widespread use in early 2020 with the arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic. They are designed to form barriers between people, blocking the transfer of potentially infectious respiratory droplets and helping to minimise the spread of COVID-19 within the workplace.

The FRONTIER® glazed screens and desk screen toppers are made from either Perspex® or tempered safety glass. They are available in a number of finishes, depending on the screen; clear, opaque, frosted or coloured. These panel screens are ideal for use in offices where it’s important to maintain a bright, airy feel and maintain effective communication between employees, but where protective measures are required. The part-glazed office screens serve a dual purpose - the lower panel acts as a traditional fabric screen, while the upper glazed part adds a layer of protection.

The FRONTIER® medical screens are finished with a layer of medical-grade vinyl, with anti-microbial properties. These totally opaque panels are available in desk divider and floor-standing styles, in a wide range of colours. Most commonly found in medical environments such as hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists and the like, they offer a practical solution for many different spaces. They can divide up seating in reception areas and waiting rooms, replace privacy curtains on wards or treatment rooms, and offer protection at desk study areas. Although primarily designed for medical use, these partitions can also offer a colourful alternative to traditional transparent social distancing screens in offices - particularly if you’re looking for a panel that offers protection and privacy in one product.

FRONTIER® Office Screens are cost-effective and practical office furnishing solutions. Available in both freestanding and desk mounted, they are most commonly used in open-plan offices to divide up large desk banks (fixed to desktops to create mini ‘cubicles’ for each employee) or to create smaller meeting spaces or recreation environments.

FRONTIER® office screens offer additional privacy, creating a more productive and peaceful working environment. The range includes standard fabric office screens, part-glazed office dividers, acoustic panel screens, Perspex® screen toppers and vinyl covered medical screens. 

Each panel screen within the FRONTIER® range features a strong aluminium frame that is available in white or silver. The free standing partitions are supplied with a pair of feet for stability and desk mounted screens are supplied with standard desk clamps. Each panel interlinks with the next by using the supplied linking strips. 

Yes, FRONTIER® Office Screens can be used in the fight against COVID-19 by being used as social distancing screens and privacy panels.

They form barriers between employees to prevent potentially infectious respiratory particles breathed out by one person from infecting their deskmate or work neighbour. These types of social distancing screens can be an effective tool in preventing the spread of any infectious illness in an office, so they can help to keep your employees healthy and productive particularly during the winter months. The part-glazed office screens and screen height extenders are manufactured from Perspex® or toughened safety glass so they can also be easily cleaned and regularly disinfected. 

Whilst the FRONTIER® office screens do not 100% stop the spread of COVID-19, they are a useful social distancing tool for use in offices where employees work in close proximity. 

Yes, FRONTIER® Screens can be linked to each other using the inline linking strips supplied with each screen purchase. To join, simply insert the linking strips into the aluminium frame extrusion, which then sits flush within the frame to create a neat finish. In addition to straight linking, you can add a junction post that enables 2, 3 or 4 panel screens to be linked in 90-degree angles to form t-shape or x-shapes across office desk pods and workstations. 

FRONTIER® Office Screens are suitable for use in a wide range of locations, including offices, reception areas, training rooms, call centres, hospitals, medical facilities, schools and colleges, libraries, retail, public and community buildings and hospitality venues. The range is incredibly versatile, with designs specifically created for different functions.

The standard fabric panels are common in offices for dividing up desk banks and creating temporary meeting spaces.

The acoustic screens are used to offer soundproofing in noisy office environments; when installed between employees or around noisy machinery, they can cut sound reverberation in an office by up to 70%.

The part-glazed, glazed and desk screen height extenders are designed for social distancing purposes, allowing light to travel through the space and facilitating communication between employees while helping to slow the spread of illnesses such as COVID-19, flu or norovirus.

The medical vinyl screens have antimicrobial properties, making them an ideal choice for hospitals, GP surgeries and other similar facilities. They are totally opaque for privacy, and easy to keep clean and hygienic.

The effectiveness of acoustic panels or partitions is measured using an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) number. The NRC is an average rating of how much sound an acoustic product can absorb; for example, an NRC of 0 means that the product absorbs no sound, whereas an NRC of 1 means that the product absorbs all sound. The higher the NRC, the better the product is at soaking up the sound.

Our FRONTIER® acoustic screens have a layer of 18mm-thick sound absorbing acoustic foam between the internal board and the outer fabric finish. This acoustic foam is tested by SRL to BSEN ISO 354, and its NRC (Noise reduction coefficient) inferred result from SRL is 0.43 (based upon test reports 1306-1040 to 1042 and C/23213/T01).

When considering which partitions you require for your office, you will need to consider the size and shape, as well as the results you are trying to achieve, and your budget.

Office partitioning can be installed in a variety of different configurations. Good workplace design is all about making the most of the space you have available, and achieving your work environment goals with a series of office screens that are right for you. Social distancing has also become a new consideration when it comes to partitioning an office.

How do you allow employees to remain a safe distance from each other while still reducing the possibility of cross-contamination? This can be achieved by increasing the distance between desks, reducing the number of employees in a room, installing a series of Perspex® or glass dividers between employees, and adding wipeable surfaces or introducing antimicrobial fabrics to partitions and furniture. 


The FRONTIER® office partition range includes part-glazed partitions that have lower fabric-covered panels with a top half glazed panel in Perspex or safety glass. These are available as floor standing screens only. They are ideal for creating small meeting spaces or work pods. Thanks to the top 'vision' panels they create an open feel that doesn't feel small and claustrophobic. The bottom half that is covered with fabric acts as modesty panels that shield you whilst seated.

Our FRONTIER® screen height extenders are can be mounted on existing FRONTIER® screens to offer additional height and protection. They are supplied in either genuine Perspex® or toughened safety glass. Each screen panel includes brackets that attach to the aluminium frame. 

The FRONTIER® Medical Screens are made from an internal panel of 2 x 2.5mm medium density fibreboard (MDF) faces adhered (using water based adhesive) around 20mm recycled paper continuous vented honeycell beecore.

What makes them effective screens for medical environments is the layer of Camira Vita vinyl which is applied on top. This heavy-grade vinyl is treated with an anti-microbial additive that works to repel microbes and prevent odors from building up. The partitions are then finished with a 20mm (h) x 20.5mm (w) tensile strength aluminium frame epoxy powder coated in a silver or white finish. 

Every surface on the FRONTIER® Medical Screens is wipeable and hygienic. 

An anti-microbial screen refers to a special additive with which the vinyl surface is treated. This treatment works to repel microbes and prevent odours from building up, making it an ideal product technology for medical environments such as hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, opticians, urgent care centres, care homes and any other facility that requires a high level of hygiene standard as it naturally fights the buildup of viruses and bacteria.
