Stand tall with the 4.9 m Extra-Large Blade Flag – a flying banner built to dominate outdoor events, forecourts, and high-traffic event spaces. With its impressive height and unique shape, this oversized extra tall printed banner ensures your brand is the first thing people see, even from afar.
Despite its size, the Feather flag remains lightweight, durable, and entirely customisable. Each kit includes a collapsible fibreglass pole, a choice of four base styles, and a free carry bag to make transport between events straightforward.
Outdoor Flying Banners:
Designed specifically for outdoor environments, the flag is supported by a GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) fibreglass pole supplied in five interlocking sections. This flexible yet sturdy construction allows the pole to bend with the wind while keeping the distinctive shape intact. Assembly is quick, the flagpole is reliable and robust, and the entire flag system remains easy to manage during repeated use.
Customised Single-Sided Fabric Flags:
Extra-large flags are produced as single-sided graphics, with approximately 80–90% show-through visible on the back. The artwork appears mirrored, as expected with single-sided printing. Double-sided production is not offered for this size due to the added weight that larger graphics create.
Heavy-Duty Flagpoles and Flag Bases:
Four base options are available depending on where the flag will be used: a ground spike for soft surfaces, a large water base for paved or solid ground (our most popular choice), a drive-on car foot ideal for forecourts, and a large cross base with a weighted ring, which is recommended solely for indoor use. The complete kit arrives in a free carry bag with dedicated compartments for the pole sections, printed fabric graphic, and a metal ground spike if needed. Other base types are transported separately.
Weather-Resistant Flag Banners:
The combination of water-resistant polyester fabric and a resilient flagpole allows the banner to perform well in moderate UK weather, including rainfall and winds up to 18 mph (Beaufort Scale 4 – moderate breeze). The printed material is designed to let wind pass through, helping the fabric dry quickly without compromising print quality or the flag’s natural movement.
To protect the flag and ensure a longer working life, we advise dismantling it during strong winds, heavy rainfall, or storms. Dye-Sublimation Flag Printing
Every flag is designed, printed, sewn, and finished in-house using 110 gsm knitted polyester. A reinforced elasticated pole sleeve—double-stitched and available in either black or white—keeps the graphic secure, assisted by a stitched toggle at the base.
The dye-sublimation printing process embeds vibrant, water-based inks deep into the fabric fibres, producing bold, full-colour artwork across the entire surface area. This print method delivers exceptional durability, resisting fading from sunlight, rain, and wind.

The polyester fabric used for these flags is fully recyclable, allowing for complete recycling at end of life. The printing system uses only water-based inks, ensuring production remains free from solvent-based chemicals. Each flag is developed with longevity and reusability in mind, and replacement graphics can be purchased for rebrands or future promotions.
Where Can Flag Banners Be Used?
When planning installation, it’s important to consider the overall height to avoid overhead obstacles and comply with any height restrictions. While suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, some indoor venues may have limited vertical clearance. Outdoors, however, the increased height provides exceptional visibility, enabling your message to reach a wider audience.
These flags are ideal for storefronts, forecourt displays, and front-of-business branding, as well as general marketing promotions and logo flag displays.
