What does the Tensabarrier® Stowaway Portable Safety Barrier kit include?
The single post does not include a carry bag. It is a standalone post with a 3.65m retractable tape that weighs 3.17kg each and has a fold-away base. The complete kit includes four stanchion posts with foldable cast iron bases and 3.65m high-vis webbing belts (each post), as well as a carry bag that holds all four posts.

The entire kit weighs 12.7kg when folded into the supplied carry case, making it an ideal compact and lightweight option for storing in a cupboard or in the back of your vehicle for emergency situations. The webbed belts, when extended fully and clipped into their corresponding posts, form a safety barrier of 14.6m in total length when using all four posts in the kit. 

Where can Tensabarrier® Stowaway Portable Safety Barriers be used?
The beauty of a portable safety barrier is that you can take it with you wherever you might need it. For example, if you keep it in the back of your car, you can use it to mark off a safe zone around a broken down vehicle or accident on the road for additional safety. From a professional point of view, they are an ideal tool for those working in construction, utilities or other fields where a ‘safe zone’ may need to be set up around a particular location or project. For example, cordoning off a work site on a road or pavement, or setting up a barrier around an electrical service box.

How Does Tensabarrier® Stowaway Work?
Tensabarrier® stowaway has cross-base feet that fold flat for easy storage in the supplied bag. The tape cassette has a patented braking system that means the webbing belt falls to the floor upon release before slowly retracting back into the stanchion, rather than pinging instantly back into the cartridge which is less likely to cause injury. The retracting tape is made from 0.89mm military-grade fabric, making them significantly thicker than other retractable stanchion systems, for durability; the webbing won’t unravel over time. Each stanchion post has four receiver points for creating a barrier configuration. The anti-tamper tape end makes a safer barrier system that doesn't accidentally detach.
