What are FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers?
FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers are cost-effective and practical office furnishing solutions. Used most commonly in modern, open-plan offices to divide up large desk banks, these partition screens are fixed to desktops to create mini ‘cubicles’ for each employee. This offers additional privacy, creating a more productive and peaceful working environment.
Are FRONTIER® Desk Screens linkable?
The FRONTIER® desk divider screens are linkable and are easy to join together. Each screen is supplied with 2 x PVC trims which double as rigid inline linking strips. The linking strips can be used to join two screens together in a straight line to form a continuous panel screen. If you wish to link at a 90-degree angle or join multiple screens in a cross formation for a bank of desks then you will need to add a junction post. A junction post allows you to add 2, 3 or 4 desk screens together at 90-degrees. Junction posts are available in a range of heights to suit your desk divider.
How are FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers Made?
Each FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Divider has an internal panel construction of 2 x 2.5mm medium density fibreboard (MDF) faces that are glued (using water based adhesive) around 20mm recycled paper continuous vented honeycell beecore. The desk panel is then upholstered with Maclfex fabric on either side, followed by a 30mm thick full aluminium frame in white or silver.
What size desk screen do I need?
The first step in choosing which FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Divider is right for your business is to measure your desktop, so you know which size desk partition you need. You can refer to our PDF Guide on How To Measure Your Desk for a Desk Screen. This range of desk divider screens is available in two different heights; 380mm or 480mm, and six different widths; 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm and 1800mm.
How are FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers Installed?
Desk mounted screens up to 1800mm wide are supplied with 2x sliding brackets (colour matched to the frame) to suit 17-33mm desktops which are attached to the bottom of the aluminium frame. Desk mounted screens over 1800mm wide are supplied with 3x sliding brackets. The brackets are designed to fit desks that are 17-33mm thick, sliding over the edge of the desk to hold the screen divider in place. The sliding clamps provide a flexible approach to installation and enable you to adjust the position anywhere along the bottom of the frame to avoid obstructions such as table legs or part of the table frame.
If your office desk is thicker than the standard brackets (ie. more than 33mm thick) or you have a frame obstruction you need to overcome, please speak to our team to discuss alternative options, we can provide bespoke clamps to suit any desk thickness.
Are FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers Fire Retardant?
FRONTIER® fabric office partitions are finished with a layer of MacFlex Mac-182 fabric. Available in a range of different colour options, this durable fabric also boasts a number of fire-rating certifications, making it safe for use in offices, schools and public buildings. The 100% Mac-182 fabric is certified to BS 476 Part 7 Class 1; BS EN 1021-1:2014 (cigarette); BSEN 13501-1 Adhered Class B,s2, d0; BS EN 13501-1 Un-adhered Class D, s1, d2.
Can You Clean FRONTIER® Office Screen Desk Dividers?
While you cannot sanitise fabric screens in the same way as you would a Perspex or glass divider, you can keep your fabric screens clean and neat. Vacuum them regularly, before wiping them with a damp cloth using soap and water (or use upholstery shampoo).
