Why should I choose a FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screen?
Acoustic desk divider screens help reduce noise distractions in and around the office helping to create a quieter and productive workspace. Most modern open-plan offices with large desk banks are busy, bustling environments with plenty of chatter and machinery noise from printers, telephones and coffee machines, for example; and they can be difficult spaces in which to work productively. Acoustic screens are designed to reduce sound reverberation around a space, minimising echoes and absorbing noise to create a more productive working environment.

In addition, acoustic desk screens provide privacy on banks of desks that are grouped together and help to hide unsightly cables and wires which can make offices look untidy and disorganised. 

How are FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens Made?
Our FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens are manufactured using a 20mm recycled paper continuous vented honeycell beecore to which 2 x 2.5mm medium density fibreboard (MDF) faces are glued (one on either side). A layer of 18mm-thick sound absorbing foam is added to the centre carcass before upholstering both sides of the screen with a fire-rated Macflex fabric. Finally, each desk divider is finished with a 30mm thick full aluminium frame in white or silver. 

What sizes are available?
These desk screens are available in two different heights; 380mm or 480mm, and six different widths; 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm and 1800mm. To know which size to choose, you will need to measure your desk - tips are available in our Desk Measuring Guide.

How do I attach my FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens to my desk bank?
Once you’ve chosen the ideal size of desk divider screen for your office, you can attach them to your desk using the desk brackets supplied. Our brackets fit standard desk thicknesses 17-33mm - if your desk is thinner or thicker than this, please reach out to our team on 01733 511030 for alternative options. Desk mounted screens up to 1800mm wide are supplied with 2x colour matched brackets; screens over 1800mm wide are supplied with 3 x colour matched brackets. 

The brackets slide over the edge of the desk to hold the screen divider in place. The sliding clamps enable you to adjust the position anywhere along the bottom of the frame to avoid obstructions such as table legs or part of the table frame.

Are FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens linkable?
Each FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screen is supplied with 2x PVC strips that slide into the aluminium profile to provide a flush finish. In addition, they double as rigid inline linking strips so you can join two desk screens together in a straight line. If you wish to join 2, 3 or 4 desk screens together on a bank of desks you will need to add a junction post. The junction post links multiple screens together in a T or cross-configuration. 

What NCR rating are FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens?
The 18mm foam is tested by SRL to BSEN ISO 354, and its NRC (Noise reduction coefficient) inferred result from SRL is 0.43 (based upon test reports 1306-1040 to 1042 and C/23213/T01). The acoustic screen is finished with hardboard faces and Macflex fabric.

Are FRONTIER® Acoustic Desk Divider Screens fire rated? 
FRONTIER® acoustic office dividers are finished with a layer of MacFlex Mac-182 fabric. Available in a range of different colour options, this durable fabric also boasts a number of fire-rating certifications, making it safe for use in offices, schools and public buildings. The 100%  Mac-182 fabric is certified to BS 476 Part 7 Class 1; BS EN 1021-1:2014 (cigarette); BSEN 13501-1 Adhered Class B,s2, d0; BS EN 13501-1 Un-adhered Class D, s1, d2.
