The WINDSTORM® A1 LED Pavement Sign is a contemporary and modern design with built in illuminated backlit LED panels, lockable poster cases, removable battery pack and is 100% weather resistant for outdoor use.
What are LED signs made from?
Manufactured from Aluminium and chromed Zamak Alloy safety corners with a durable, HDPE moulded base. The WINDSTORM® LED Pavement Sign is a premium backlit sign offered in a conveniently portable and freestanding design with A1 poster sizes. The water base holds 20 litres of water if you need the additional wind resistant for outdoor use. Filled with water the pavement sign weighs 50kg, so is sturdy and can be used outdoors in all weathers up to wind speeds of 20mph / 30 kmh. The poster case has waterproof gaskets, and the unique base is styled in a way to allow rain to flow down it, away from the battery. We include a carry tool to allow for easy movement.
LED signs with Lithium Batteries:
The illuminated LED sign unit operates with either the supplied battery for up to 12 hours or runs direct from a UK power socket for continuous use. The battery is hidden and housed in a waterproof chamber within the base. The battery compartment chamber is lockable, and two keys are supplied. Supplied battery unit is a LiFeP04 rechargeable, 25.6 Volt, 10-amp lithium battery with extreme reliability and able to operate in -10 / +50 degrees Celsius temperature ranges. This battery includes an integrated digital LED indicator display for quick checking of the battery charge level.
The illuminated WINDSTORM® LED pavement sign can be operated from either a switch on the battery or via the supplied remote-control unit. The remote control works from up to 50 metres away, allowing easy and convenient changes to the LED brightness or turning the unit off and on. There are two brightness levels: Max brightness (1000 - 1200 Lux) which lasts approximately 8 hours and Energy Saver Mode (650 - 700 Lux) lasting for 12 hours.
Do I need backlit posters for LED pavement signs?
Our LED Pavement Sign is a double-sided display with built in Osram® LED lighting panels covered with double 4mm acrylic glass plates that are laser processed and dotted for a uniform and homogeneous light diffusion and even illumination. To maximise illumination, use a backlit film media for posters. This allows the LED light to glow through the print, enhancing colours and attracts attention to your marketing message. We recommend adding our backlit poster prints at time of order to maximise your display as they are specifically designed for LED Lightboxes.
Traditional poster media and pvc may not work effectively in backlit signs or a lightbox as the light may not shine through the graphic. You will need the correct Translite material for illuminated signage. We can print and supply - please just add to your order save up to 30% off the poster price when bought with the backlit sign.
Translite graphics are displays that utilise a light source from behind the graphic to shine through the material and ink to make the printed image illuminate. We can supply these posters for you and re-prints if you want to change your promotional artwork at a later date.

Excellent Customer Service

We purchased a Windstorm Illuminated Pavement Sign from XL Displays. When the unit arrived we had some issues with remote operation so called customer services. We spoke with Mary who went the extra mile to make sure our issues were rectified. We were initially sent a new base and when this didn't fix the problem Mary arranged for a new frame to be sent out as well. Nothing was too much of a problem and I was 100% satisfied with how XL Displays and Mary dealt with our issues until we had a working sign. This is how customer service should be. I would highly recommend XL Displays and will certainly be using them in the future. Thank you!
