How To Choose A Trade Show Company

Exhibitions and event shows cost a lot of money and require a vast amount of time and effort with regards to preparation – let alone the event itself. With this in mind, it’s vital that you find the right exhibition stand supplier to help ease the pressure on yourself and your colleagues, as well as to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible.

There are thousands of trade show companies out there, making it hard for you to narrow down which one will be the best – especially if you’ve never exhibited before. Like with any service, it’s important you look out for clues that indicate whether or not a supplier is the best one for you.

Reviews

First and foremost, look out for reviews. A company with plenty of reviews on its website and platforms such as Google, Facebook and Trustpilot is far more likely to be reputable than a company with no reviews. When shopping for anything – especially high value items – you should always read a review first. The more reviews there are on a company and its products, the more reliable the company will be.

The reason reviews are so important is because they tell you a lot about a business. Not only do they give you an indication of the quality of the products, they also tell you about the company’s level of customer service. If someone has had a bad experience, they will more than likely leave a review stating this – even if the product they purchased was good quality.

Here at XL, we focus a lot of our efforts on creating a positive shopping experience for the customer. Our sales team undergo weekly training to ensure that their product knowledge is up to date and correct. In addition, our customer service team regularly listen back to calls so that they can discuss how the call was handled or how it could have been improved. Both teams then work together to provide each customer with the best experience they can.

We ask every customer to leave us a Trustpilot review after their purchase is complete. We have acquired over 9,000 Trustpilot reviews by doing this and have achieved a five star rating overall. This is because of our dedication to training our team and continuously improving on our services, as well as the quality of our products.

Examples

Sometimes, what you purchase isn’t actually what you receive. Businesses may paint their products in the best light, but what the customer receives isn’t always what has been advertised to them. This is something to be extremely cautious of with high value items such as exhibition stands.

A fool-proof way to avoid disappointment is to look out for customer photos or examples of work for previous clients before spending your money. Not only does this give you an idea of the type of clientele a trade show company has, but it lets you see a realistic representation of what you are investing in.

At XL, we routinely take behind-the-scenes photos of our exhibition stands before they are dispatched to our customers. We then post the images to the exhibition stand inspiration gallery on our information website. We implemented this feature so that prospective clients can see what options are available to them and gain inspiration for their own exhibition stand. This also allows current clients to see exactly what they can expect when their item arrives to them.

By doing this, we are showcasing our comprehensive exhibition display stand range and the diverse range of businesses we work with. It also gives us an opportunity to demonstrate the talents of our graphic design team who routinely come up with unique branding for various clients.

Price

Finally, always question pricing. Just because a company has a lower ‘from’ price, it doesn’t mean that they are the cheapest. Often, the price appears lower because the product you are buying varies. An example of this can be drawn from linked pop up exhibition stands. We include LED lights and a Zeus case with a graphic wrap and counter top as a standard bundle.

Other trade show suppliers may not include all of these elements in their kits as standard, meaning that often it can cost more to get exactly the same products in a bundle elsewhere.

It is always worth double-checking pricing and what exactly it is that you are getting for your money to determine whether or not you are getting the best value.

With so many exhibition stand suppliers out there, it can seem like a mammoth task to find the one that will service your needs the best. By checking for the things listed above, you will be able to narrow down your search considerably and rest assured that your investment is in safe hands.
