Printed Tablecloths

The terminology and descriptions are very similar; however, the products can be different and used for different purposes.

Tablecloths can be used as a protective cover for a table or as promotional decoration with a logo, print or design. Tablecloths can be square, rectangular, circular or oval and are normally larger than runners. XL Displays tablecloths drape to the floor on three sides and are shorter at the back to allow access for sitting or storage.

Table runners are generally used as a decorative piece, draped over an existing table cloth or placed along the centre of a table. Table runners are narrow in width and longer in length, so the rectangular proportions are different. Printed Table runners are very similar to a table cloth, just smaller and are more about branding than pure function.

Table throws are almost identical to Tablecloths and the difference is more terminology. Generally, a table throw will be placed on a table in a more casual fashion (hence 'throw’), without boxing or pleating. Ideal for promotional purposes.

Our exhibition tablecloths including logo tablecloths and all-over print table table cloths are printed on a woven 215-gram 100% polyester fabric with a satin sheen finish. 

For our plain conference tablecloths, we use a knitted pre-coloured Signature fabric which is a polyester and cotton fabric. The fabric improves with age and becomes softer with use. These are the same tablecloths used in 5-star hotels.

Yes. We will send you a PDF proof for approval prior to printing which requires your sign-off. Amendments can be made, and we can help and advise throughout the process. We won’t send to print until you are happy.

With the exception of our Stretch Tablecloths, our tablecloths do not stretch. Due to the nature of fabric there is some give and flexibility but for a box fit stretch tablecloth you will need to select the specific product. The fabric in our stretch tablecloths products contain a percentage of Spandex / Lycra which allows the material to stretch.

Printed tablecloths are not designed for outdoor use, however, the occasional use outside in fair weather is fine. Avoid bad weather, rain, strong winds and strong UV light from the sun. We advise using tablecloth clips to secure the tablecloth.

Wash at 30℃ on a gentle washing machine cycle. Do not tumble dry. Iron on the reverse or use a steamer to remove any creases. Our tablecloths come supplied with washing instructions.

In the washing machine at 30℃ on a gentle washing machine cycle. You can spot clean them with warm water and mild washing detergent. Spot test in an inconspicuous area.

Our tablecloth fabric and printing process avoids fading under normal use. Avoid washing at high temperatures and avoid strong sunlight. Our dye-sublimation logo tablecloths and all-over print tablecloths are extremely durable and long-lasting. The printing technique we use on all printed tablecloths fuses ink directly into the fabric weave meaning there is no logo to scratch off, giving you a professional table cover that will look great even after repeated washes.

Dye Sub is an abbreviation of Dye Sublimation, a printing process of infusing ink within the fibres of a fabric. Similar to dyeing or flood printing but dye sublimation allows complex, bespoke prints and artwork to be printed in short runs or one-offs, with no set up costs. Water based inks are either digitally printed directly on the fabric or onto a transfer paper that is then infused into the fabric via a calendar, such as a Monti Antonio, which is an industrial heated roller. The ink transfers into the fabric under pressure and extreme heat resulting in a vibrant print that can be washed, ironed without loss of colour and durability as the ink bonds to the fibres at a molecular level. Clothing, curtains, sportswear, designer fabrics, bags and many other fashion and promotional items are produced this way.

Our tablecloths can be considered Eco Friendly. The fabric used is 100% woven polyester on our printed and fully branded tablecloths. The fabric can be recycled.

We use cotton thread to overlock the fabric and a polyester thread to hem the tablecloths. Both sewing threads are recyclable. Tablecloths are dispatched in a clamshell cardboard box that is also recyclable.

Water based inks are used in the manufacture of our dye sublimated, all over print, tablecloths. The ink contains no animal by products.

XL Displays take their responsibility toward the environment seriously. Our waste is separated and recycled and any general waste is collected separately and incinerated by our waste collection partner, Viridor. The incinerated waste is converted into energy and used to power the recycling centre. None of our waste goes to land fill.
